All "Taxed" Out

Greetings readers....if there are any of ya out there in bloggerland -

Today is April 16, 2007 and with 33 hours until the deadline of midnight - April 17, 2007, I signed, sealed and delivered my taxes to the IRS and WDR!!

It's been a mission accomplished for sure. The hardest part for me is keeping up with my bookwork. So...now, after I blog, I need to start on 2007's so that I can at least have a few months done....It'd be smart and fun to keep them done.

Well...the blogger folks made me do it. That is to go to the "new" version of the blogger. I have resisted because I don't like it as well as the old version. I'm not sure the labels will help me or anyone. I just find them taking up valuable real estate. But...c'est la vie....that's technology!!

Last Wednesday, we in Wisconsin, had a late-April snowstorm. I took my new baby, aptly named, Drifter out for a photo op in the spring snow. It dawned on me that when the next snowfall arrives, he most likely will be about 10 months old and not that cute, inquisitive puppy.

So, without further adieux, I proudly present, Amethyst's Snow 'n' Ice (in honor of his granny, Ice) who represents the 4th generation of my breeding program. Great-grandpa Fire was featured earlier in my blogs having won 3rd place in Veteran Dog class at the GSCA National in 2006. Ice is Fire's daughter out of my girl Storm. And..Drifter's mom is Ch. Amethyst's Stormin' Back 'n Time (Twister) who was aptly named for her granny, Storm. Drifter's dad, is River who I featured on my sad-sack Valentine's Day post. And, what is sweeter yet, is that they are all still alive. Fire is 12, Ice is 9, Twister is 4 and Drifter 3-months.

The new job is going great, the weather is gorgeous today and I have once again, met the tax deadline without having to file an extension. Life is grand!!

Enjoy Drifter. He'll be the next star for Amethyst!!

Yahooooo!! Taxes are in. How was the movie? Cute picture of Drifter. Do you ever think of taking him to the Care Center? The residents there would love to see a new puppy.

Hey Mom -

Thank you for being someone in bloggerland.

The movie was good...actually a very good thriller...but not a slasher-type. Very well done. Hitchcock-esque. Mary R and I had a fun time.

Haven't thought about taking Drifter to the Care Center, but that's a great idea. Let me know if I can.

Off to the vet clinic to take Dugan in to be "tutored" (a/k/a neutered).

I always think of The Drifters with that name: Under the Boardwalk, Sand in my Shoes, Saturday Night at the Movies, etc., etc., etc. It's beach music...
