Okay...they MADE me do it....

Greetings fellow bloggers.....

My youngest sibling, Ruth Anne, created a blog a few years ago. I have read her posts with much interest to find out what's going on in her world in NC. You can view her blog if you'd like. It tells of the lives and times of the Adams family. *grin*

Sibling Paul (my only brother) decided to start one a couple weeks' ago and you can follow his life there in CA. I have two siblings on either coast.

Not to be outdone was Milliondollar Mary...(that still cracks me up)....who is my other sister that lives very close to me...she got on the bandwagon, too. Mary lives in Beaverville, WI (oops...Beaver Dam...home of 15,000 busy beavers....) with her husband, Scott and two kids.

So...Ruth asked me when I was gonna do this and I said...my life isn't all that exciting. Paul and Mary said that I should...cuz ya never know who I might help out.....

Therefore....I decide..what the heck...just become a blogger....

So...here I am....I truly have gone to the dogs...Gordon Setters that is. I have raised and shown them for almost 25 years now. I handle dogs for clients and have had much success at doing that. If you're interested, you can visit my dog web site.

In 2003, I separated from and eventually divorced my ex-husband of 22 + years.

I work as an IT professional for the State of WI and shortly after my divorce, the wonderful governor of this state (don't blame me...I did NOT vote for the man nor will I vote for him in November 2006) cut my job.

Plain and simple I was a victim of politics at its finest. Because 17% of my job was working on Microsoft Exchange Server as an e-mail administrator, the agency I worked for opted to cut 100% of it. The end date: June 30, 2006. I worked very hard to be as pro-active as I could to find another job and to keep my skill set up. My mom helped me go to a training for Computer Forensics and I love that aspect of IT. It's going to be so important in the next 3-7 years to protect PCs and computer systems from computer scum who seek to cripple business and government systems. I always remember wanting to be a private eye and this way I can do that and be a computer geekette too.

In April 2006 I took a job with another state agency. Not my dream job, but a job that's not going to be cut. I am actively seeking another job that's closer to my home and not clear on the west side of Madison. But for now...it pays the bills....can't complain...right?

I own a home in rural Wisconsin and am part of the commuting crowd. My next goal....either remodel or rebuild on my land. This will be the most frustrating thing I have undertaken. Stayed tuned as I try to figure this out!

And....lastly...have you ever tried to date at 48? Let me tell ya...it's surely not pretty. I have my dog show friends and my family laughing at my dating antics. I gotta tell ya....being a 48-year old teen is not as much fun as you'd think it'd be.

So..that's a bit about me.....thanks siblings for making me do it...perhaps it really will help to better see where I'm at and where I want to go.....

Until...later...it's time to bathe another dog...

Peggy :)
